And there came a man of God to Eli and said to him, Thus says the LORD, Did I not plainly appear to the house of your father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?

2And it happened at that time, when Eli was lying down in his place, and his eyes had begun to grow dim, that he could not see;
3And before the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was lying down,
4That the LORD called Samuel; and he answered, Here I am.
5And he ran to Eli, and said, Here I am; for you called me. And he said, I did not call; lie down again. And he went and lay down.
6And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. So Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here I am; for you did call me. And he answered, I did not call, my son; lie down again.
7Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed to him.
8And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. Then he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here I am; for you did call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.
9Therefore Eli said to Samuel, Go, lie down; and it shall be, if he calls you, that you shall say, Speak, LORD; for your servant hears. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10And the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for your servant hears.
21And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh; for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.
28And it came to pass on the day when the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,
8That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, who said unto them, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;
11And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child served the LORD before Eli the priest.
5That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.
13And when he came, behold, Eli sat upon a seat by the roadside watching, for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city and told it, all the city cried out.

8So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
26And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favor both with the LORD and also with men.
18And they shall listen to your voice, and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has met with us, and now let us go, we beseech you, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
32Saying, I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled and did not dare to look.
3And He said, I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down into Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there.
20So it came to pass, when the time had come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.
