5 For, behold, you shall conceive and bear a son; and no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel from the hands of the Philistines.
15 And Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, I pray you, let us detain you, until we have made ready a young goat for you.
16 And the angel of the LORD said to Manoah, Though you detain me, I will not eat your bread: but if you will offer a burnt offering, you must offer it to the LORD. For Manoah did not know that he was an angel of the LORD.
17 And Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, What is your name, that when your words come to pass we may honor you?
18 And the angel of the LORD said to him, Why do you ask my name, seeing it is secret?
19 So Manoah took a young goat with a grain offering, and offered it on a rock to the LORD: and the angel did wondrously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.
20 For it happened, when the flame went up toward heaven from the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife watched it and fell on their faces to the ground.
21 But the angel of the LORD did not appear again to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.
22 And Manoah said to his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.
23 But his wife said to him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering at our hands, nor would he have shown us all these things, nor would he at this time have told us such things as these.
6 And they said to him, A man came up to meet us, and said to us, Go, return to the king who sent you, and say to him, Thus says the LORD, Is it not because there is no God in Israel that you send to inquire of Baalzebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore, you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but shall surely die.
7 And he said to them, What kind of man was he who came up to meet you and told you these words?
9 And she said to her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us continually.
