    34And this thing became sin to the house of Jeroboam, to cut it off and to destroy it from off the face of the earth.

    15Moreover, the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he broke down, and burned the high place, and ground it to powder, and burned the Asherah.

    16As Josiah turned, he saw the tombs that were there on the mountain, and sent and took the bones out of the tombs and burned them on the altar, and defiled it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.

    17Then he said, What monument is this that I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that you have done against the altar of Bethel.

  • 18But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, As for the words which you have heard;

  • 14For the Levites left their suburbs and possessions, and came to Judah and Jerusalem because Jeroboam and his sons had cast them out from executing the priest's office to the LORD.

  • 30because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and made Israel to sin, by his provocation with which he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.
