21And when Rehoboam came to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah with the tribe of Benjamin, a hundred and eighty thousand chosen men, who were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom back to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.
22But the word of God came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
23Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the remnant of the people, saying,
15So the king did not listen to the people, for the cause was of God, that the LORD might fulfill his word, which he spoke by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
16And when all Israel saw that the king would not listen to them, the people answered the king, saying, What part have we in David? And we have no inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel; and now, David, see to your own house. So all Israel went to their tents.
17But as for the children of Israel who dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.
26And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now the kingdom shall return to the house of David.
27If this people go up to offer sacrifices in the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, then the heart of this people shall turn again to their lord, even to Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and return to Rehoboam king of Judah.
6Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, has risen up and has rebelled against his lord.
7And there gathered to him worthless men, sons of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not resist them.
8And now you think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and you are a great multitude, and with you are golden calves, which Jeroboam made for you to be gods.
1And the king sent and gathered all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem to him.
4And Abijah stood upon Mount Zemaraim, which is in Mount Ephraim, and said, Listen to me, Jeroboam, and all Israel;
15Therefore the king did not listen to the people, for the cause was from the LORD, that he might perform His word, which the LORD spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
16So when all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse. To your tents, O Israel! Now see to your own house, David. So Israel departed to their tents.
17But as for the children of Israel who dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.
21For he ripped Israel from the house of David; they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king, and Jeroboam drove Israel from following the LORD, and made them commit a great sin.
6And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, you wife of Jeroboam; why do you pretend to be another? for I am sent to you with heavy tidings.
7Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Because I exalted you from among the people, and made you prince over my people Israel,
13And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel resorted to him from all their territories.
31And he said to Jeroboam, Take ten pieces: for thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon and will give ten tribes to you.
15And they came to the children of Reuben, the children of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, in the land of Gilead, and spoke with them, saying,

1And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom and strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him.
17So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong for three years, because three years they walked in the way of David and Solomon.
1And, behold, a man of God came out of Judah by the word of the LORD to Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.
28And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valor: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the work of the house of Joseph.
40Solomon therefore sought to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, to Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
