15Therefore the king did not listen to the people, for the cause was from the LORD, that he might perform His word, which the LORD spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
16So when all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse. To your tents, O Israel! Now see to your own house, David. So Israel departed to their tents.
23Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the remnant of the people, saying,
24Thus says the LORD, You shall not go up nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel. Return every man to his house, for this thing is from Me. Therefore they listened to the word of the LORD, and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD.
25Then Jeroboam built Shechem in the mount of Ephraim and lived there, and went out from there and built Penuel.
8And now you think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and you are a great multitude, and with you are golden calves, which Jeroboam made for you to be gods.
21For he ripped Israel from the house of David; they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king, and Jeroboam drove Israel from following the LORD, and made them commit a great sin.
6Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, has risen up and has rebelled against his lord.
31And he said to Jeroboam, Take ten pieces: for thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon and will give ten tribes to you.
32(But he shall have one tribe for the sake of my servant David, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel.)
15So the king did not listen to the people, for the cause was of God, that the LORD might fulfill his word, which he spoke by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

39And I will for this afflict the offspring of David, but not forever.
40Solomon therefore sought to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, to Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
2And Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I ask you, and disguise yourself, so that you are not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and go to Shiloh: behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, who told me that I should be king over this people.
10To transfer the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.
28And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valor: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the work of the house of Joseph.

12Arise therefore, go to your own house: and when your feet enter into the city, the child shall die.

7Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

12So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day, as the king had said, Come again to me on the third day.
31And he made a house of high places and made priests from all sorts of people, who were not of the sons of Levi.
