    8Moreover, in Jerusalem, Jehoshaphat appointed some of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem.

    9And he charged them, saying, This you shall do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.

  • 5And Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,

  • 1Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah, and broke the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.

  • 19Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built for the name of the LORD.

  • 29But if from there you shall seek the LORD your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

  • 14Then shall you inquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it is true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is done among you;

  • 6Nevertheless, they did not depart from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who made Israel sin, but walked in them, and the Asherah pole also remained in Samaria.

  • 7And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and beaten the graven images into powder and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.
