    6If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend, who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;

    7Namely, of the gods of the people which are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth;

  • 9But have done evil above all that were before you: for you have gone and made for yourself other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and have cast me behind your back:

  • 17And you have seen their abominations, and their idols of wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)

  • 15Lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice to their gods, and one of them invites you, and you eat his sacrifice.

  • 13And if the whole congregation of Israel sins through ignorance, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done something against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which should not be done, and are guilty;

  • 18But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, As for the words which you have heard;

  • 17And there shall cling nothing of the cursed thing to your hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and show you mercy, and have compassion upon you, and multiply you, as he has sworn to your fathers;

  • 11Which You have commanded by Your servants the prophets, saying, The land unto which you go to possess it is an unclean land with the filthiness of the peoples of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.

  • 10And it shall come to pass, when you show this people all these words, and they say to you, Why has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?

  • 30Therefore you shall keep my ordinance, that you do not commit any of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I am the LORD your God.

  • 14behold, with a great plague the LORD will strike your people, your children, your wives, and all your possessions.

  • 9When the army goes forth against your enemies, then keep yourself from every wicked thing.

  • 16These are the things that you shall do; Speak every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

  • 14Should we again break Your commandments and join in affinity with the peoples of these abominations? Would You not be angry with us until You had consumed us, so that there should be no remnant or escaping?
