3 and has gone and served other gods and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded,
4 and it is told to you, and you have heard of it and diligently inquired, and indeed it is true and certain that such an abomination has been committed in Israel,
30 Take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you; and that you do not enquire after their gods, asking, How did these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.
31 You shall not do so to the LORD your God, for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods; for they have even burned their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.
1 You shall make no idols nor carved image, neither set up a standing image, nor shall you set up any image of stone in your land to bow down to it: for I am the LORD your God.
29 However, every nation made gods of their own and put them in the shrines of the high places which the Samaritans had made, each nation in the cities where they lived.
27 For all these abominations have the men of the land done, who were before you, and the land is defiled;
24 You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their works; but you shall utterly overthrow them and completely break down their sacred pillars.

15 Take therefore good heed to yourselves; for you saw no form on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
14 You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people who are all around you;
8 In that you provoke me to wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you have gone to dwell, that you might cut yourselves off, and that you might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
20 As for the beauty of his ornaments, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein; therefore, have I set it far from them.
