    2If there is found among you, within any of your gates which the LORD your God gives you, a man or woman who has done wickedness in the sight of the LORD your God by transgressing His covenant,

    4and it is told to you, and you have heard of it and diligently inquired, and indeed it is true and certain that such an abomination has been committed in Israel,

    30Take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you; and that you do not enquire after their gods, asking, How did these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.

    31You shall not do so to the LORD your God, for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods; for they have even burned their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.

  • 52then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their carved images, and destroy all their molten images, and thoroughly demolish all their high places:

  • 15Take therefore good heed to yourselves; for you saw no form on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:

  • 14You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people who are all around you;

  • 8In that you provoke me to wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you have gone to dwell, that you might cut yourselves off, and that you might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
