18 And Gad came that day to David, and said to him, Go up, erect an altar to the LORD in the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

24 But King David said to Ornan, No; but I will buy it for the full price: for I will not take what is yours for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.
25 So David gave to Ornan six hundred shekels of gold by weight for the place.
26 And David built there an altar to the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.
24 And the king said to Araunah, No; but I will surely buy it from you at a price: nor will I offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God of that which costs me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
25 And David built there an altar to the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was entreated for the land, and the plague was stopped from Israel.
28 At that time when David saw that the LORD had answered him in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, he sacrificed there.
1 Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.
20 And David said to all the assembly, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the assembly blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshiped the LORD, and the king.

28 And Ahimaaz called, and said to the king, All is well. And he fell down to the earth upon his face before the king, and said, Blessed be the LORD your God, who has delivered up the men that lifted up their hand against my lord the king.

12 Go and say to David, Thus says the LORD, I offer you three things; choose one of them, that I may do it to you.
27 And now this blessing, which your maidservant has brought to my lord, let it be given to the young men who follow my lord.
2 Then King David stood up on his feet, and said, Hear me, my brothers, and my people: As for me, I had in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations for the building:
8 Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore, let the young men find favor in your eyes, for we come on a good day. Please give whatever you can to your servants and to your son David.
