30And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
31And said, Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your alms are remembered in the sight of God.
32Send therefore to Joppa, and call here Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is staying in the house of one Simon a tanner by the seaside: when he comes, he will speak to you.
9And when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
10And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11Who also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.
17And it happened, when I returned to Jerusalem, and while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance,
22And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one who fears God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned by a holy angel to send for you to his house, and to hear words from you.
23Then he invited them in, and lodged them. And on the next day Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
24And the day after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his relatives and near friends.
