    19And the king conversed with them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king.

    20And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.

  • 14Moreover, from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year to the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes the king, twelve years, neither I nor my brethren have eaten the governor's provisions.

  • 2Therefore the king said to me, Why is your face sad, since you are not sick? This is nothing but sorrow of heart. Then I was very much afraid,

  • 7They answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will provide the interpretation.

  • 19The vessels also that are given to you for the service of the house of your God, deliver before the God of Jerusalem.

  • 27Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you, and break off your sins by righteousness and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor, if it may be a lengthening of your tranquility.

  • 27And the princes, governors, captains, and the king's counselors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed, nor were their coats changed, nor had the smell of fire passed on them.
