If someone is found slain in the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess, lying in the field, and it is not known who has slain him,

12Then the elders of his city shall send and take him from there, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, so that he may die.
13Your eye shall not pity him, but you shall remove the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with you.
14You shall not remove your neighbor's landmark, which the men of old have set in your inheritance, which you shall inherit in the land that the LORD your God gives you to possess.
3That the slayer who kills any person unintentionally and unknowingly may flee there: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood.
4And when he who flees to one of those cities shall stand at the entrance of the gate of the city and shall declare his case in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city to them and give him a place, that he may dwell among them.
5And if the avenger of blood pursues him, they shall not deliver the slayer into his hand because he struck his neighbor unintentionally and did not hate him beforehand.
6And he shall dwell in that city until he stands before the congregation for judgment, and until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days: then the slayer shall return to his own city and to his own house, to the city from which he fled.
26But if the slayer shall at any time come outside the border of the city of his refuge, where he had fled;
27And the avenger of blood finds him outside the borders of the city of his refuge, and the avenger of blood kills the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood:
28Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return to the land of his possession.
2You shall set apart three cities for yourself in the midst of your land, which the LORD your God gives you to possess.
3You shall prepare a road for yourself, and divide the territory of your land, which the LORD your God gives you to inherit, into three parts, so that every manslayer may flee there.
4And this is the case of the manslayer who shall flee there, that he may live: Whoever kills his neighbor unintentionally, whom he did not hate in time past;
5As when a man goes into the forest with his neighbor to cut wood, and his hand swings the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slips from the handle and strikes his neighbor so that he dies, he shall flee to one of those cities and live:
6Lest the avenger of blood pursue the manslayer while his heart is hot and overtake him, because the way is long, and kill him; though he was not worthy of death, since he did not hate him in time past.
11Then you shall appoint cities for yourselves to be cities of refuge; that the slayer may flee there, who kills any person accidentally.
25But if a man finds a betrothed young woman in the field, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die.
19The avenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meets him, he shall slay him.
20But if he pushes him out of hatred, or hurls at him by lying in wait so that he dies;
21Or in enmity strikes him with his hand, so that he dies, he who struck him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the avenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meets him.
22But if he pushes him suddenly without enmity, or throws anything upon him without lying in wait,
23Or with any stone, by which a man may die, seeing him not, and throw it upon him, so that he dies, and was not his enemy, nor sought his harm:
24Then the congregation shall judge between the slayer and the avenger of blood according to these judgments:
2If a thief is found breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodshed for him.
6And all the elders of that city, that are nearest to the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley,
21And he who kills a beast shall restore it: and he who kills a man shall be put to death.
42That the slayer might flee there, who should kill his neighbor unintentionally, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing to one of these cities he might live:

36Or if it is known that the ox was accustomed to gore in time past, and its owner has not kept it in, he shall surely pay ox for ox, and the dead animal shall be his own.
15These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the traveler among them: that anyone who kills any person accidentally may flee there.
16And if he strikes him with an iron instrument, so that he dies, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
17And if he strikes him with throwing a stone, by which he may die, and he dies, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
