4He cropped off the top of its young twigs and carried it into a land of trade; he set it in a city of merchants.

24And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.
5For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
2And he fenced it, and removed its stones, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress in it: and he expected it to bring forth grapes, but it brought forth wild grapes.
3And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard.
4What more could have been done to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked for it to bring forth grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes?
4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, no more can you, unless you abide in me.
5I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit, for without me you can do nothing.
6If anyone does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and is withered; and men gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
2Son of man, present a riddle and speak a parable to the house of Israel;
8Though its root grows old in the earth, and its stump dies in the ground;
9Yet through the scent of water it will bud and bring forth branches like a plant.
14So that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, nor set their top among the thick boughs, nor any tree stand up to its height, all that drink water; for they are all delivered to death, to the lower parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with those who go down to the pit.
14He cried aloud, and said this, 'Cut down the tree, and cut off its branches, shake off its leaves, and scatter its fruit; let the beasts get away from under it, and the birds from its branches.
11Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
6His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his fragrance as Lebanon.
7Those who dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the grain, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
