Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, 'Aha, she is broken, that was the gate of the peoples; she has turned to me; I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste.'

17And they shall take up a lamentation for you, and say to you: 'How are you destroyed, that were inhabited by seafaring men, the renowned city, which was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, who caused their terror to be on all that haunt it!'
18Now shall the isles tremble on the day of your fall; yes, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at your departure.
19For thus says the Lord GOD: When I shall make you a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited, when I shall bring up the deep upon you, and great waters shall cover you,
32And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for you, and lament over you, saying, What city is like Tyre, like the one destroyed in the midst of the sea?
33When your wares went forth out of the seas, you filled many people; you enriched the kings of the earth with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.

7For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will bring against Tyre Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and many people.
8He shall slay with the sword your daughters in the field; and he shall build a fort against you, and cast a mound against you, and lift up a shield against you.
9Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyre, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and did not remember the brotherly covenant:
10But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyre, which shall devour its palaces.
11Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
12Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord GOD; You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
20Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
21Son of man, set your face against Sidon, and prophesy against it,
26And her gates shall lament and mourn, and she being desolate shall sit on the ground.
3And Tyre built herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver like dust, and fine gold like the dirt of the streets.
4Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and will strike her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.

13Thus says the Lord GOD; Because they say to you, You land devour men, and have bereaved your nations;
7Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is from ancient days? her own feet shall carry her far away to sojourn.
8Who has taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traders are the honorable of the earth?
5As at the report concerning Egypt, so they shall be greatly pained at the report of Tyre.
26Your rowers have brought you into great waters: the east wind has broken you in the midst of the seas.
27Your riches, and your markets, your merchandise, your mariners, and your pilots, your caulkers, and the occupiers of your merchandise, and all your men of war, who are in you, and in all your company which is in the midst of you, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of your ruin.
17And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall return to her wages, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
14Wail, you ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste.
8And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbor, Why has the LORD done thus to this great city?
15This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none besides me: how has she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! Everyone that passes by her shall hiss, and shake his hand.
2Son of man, make Jerusalem aware of her abominations,
26Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
6For thus says the Lord GOD; Because you have clapped your hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all your disdain against the land of Israel;
11Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: An adversary shall be all around the land; he shall bring down your strength from you, and your palaces shall be plundered.
1Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
9Thus says the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
6For thus has the LORD of hosts said, Cut down trees, and build a mound against Jerusalem. This is the city to be visited; she is full of oppression in her midst.
