18You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trading; therefore I will bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who behold you.

2Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord GOD; Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet you are a man and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of God:
3Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from you:
11Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
12And I put a jewel on your forehead, and earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.
13Thus you were adorned with gold and silver; and your clothing was of fine linen, silk, and embroidered work; you ate fine flour, honey, and oil; you were exceedingly beautiful, and you prospered into a kingdom.
14And your fame went out among the nations for your beauty; for it was perfect through my splendor, which I had bestowed upon you, says the Lord GOD.
15But you trusted in your own beauty, and played the harlot because of your fame, and poured out your fornications on everyone that passed by; it was his.
1And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, 'Aha, she is broken, that was the gate of the peoples; she has turned to me; I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste.'
3Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes its waves to come up.
5By your great wisdom and by your trading you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches:
6Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because you have set your heart as the heart of God;
7Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon you, the most terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your brightness.
14And I will make you like the top of a rock; you shall be a place to spread nets upon; you shall be built no more; for I the LORD have spoken it, says the Lord GOD.
15Thus says the Lord GOD to Tyre: Shall not the isles shake at the sound of your fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in your midst?
16Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay aside their robes and put off their embroidered garments; they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground and tremble every moment, and be astonished at you.
32And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for you, and lament over you, saying, What city is like Tyre, like the one destroyed in the midst of the sea?
33When your wares went forth out of the seas, you filled many people; you enriched the kings of the earth with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.
16Syria was your merchant by reason of the multitude of your handiworks: they occupied in your markets with emeralds, purple, embroidered work, fine linen, coral, and agate.
8The cedars in the garden of God could not hide it; the fir trees were not like its boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like its branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like it in beauty.

18Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was rubbed raw: yet he had no wages, nor his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it:
20Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
10Adorn yourself now with majesty and excellency, and array yourself with glory and beauty.
11The men of Arvad with your army were on your walls all around, and the Gammadims were in your towers: they hung their shields upon your walls all around; they made your beauty perfect.
12Tarshish was your merchant because of the multitude of all kinds of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in your markets.
16Son of man, behold, I take away from you the desire of your eyes with a stroke: yet you shall neither mourn nor weep, nor shall your tears run down.
