Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says the LORD, and work: for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts.

6Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.
7Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace to it.
8Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
9The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.
10For who has despised the day of small things? For they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
9Thus says the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
8Now in the second year of their coming to the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, began; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to oversee the work of the house of the LORD.
9Then Jeshua stood with his sons and his brothers, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to supervise the workers in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brothers the Levites.
2Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, arose and began to build the house of God which is in Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them.
3At the same time, Tatnai, governor on this side of the river, and Shetharboznai, and their companions, came to them and said, Who has commanded you to build this house and to finish this wall?
1Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity were building the temple to the LORD God of Israel,
2Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said to them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as you do; and we have sacrificed to Him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us up here.
3But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said to them, You have nothing to do with us to build a house to our God; but we ourselves together will build to the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us.
4Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building,
23In that day, says the LORD of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel, My servant, the son of Shealtiel, says the LORD, and will make you like a signet ring: for I have chosen you, says the LORD of hosts.
5According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you: do not fear.
6For thus says the LORD of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land;
7And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come, and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts.
1In the second year of King Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,
2Thus says the LORD of hosts: This people say, 'The time has not come, the time for the LORD'S house to be built.'
3Who is there among you of all his people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel (he is the God), which is in Jerusalem.
4And whoever remains in any place where he sojourns, let the men of his place help him with silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, besides the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.
5Then the leaders of the fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin arose, and the priests, and the Levites, with all those whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
6And all those who were around them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, with beasts, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.
7Thus says the LORD of hosts; If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge, then you shall also judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place to walk among these who stand by.
8Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your companions who sit before you: for they are a wondrous sign: for behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
7Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in its place.
13So the workmen worked, and the work was completed by them, and they set the house of God in its state, and strengthened it.
15And those who are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
11Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;
12And speak to him, saying, Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
21Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
9For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands will be weakened from the work, so that it will not be done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.
9The glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts: and in this place I will give peace, says the LORD of hosts.
8Go up to the mountains, bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it and be glorified, says the LORD.
2Then Jeshua the son of Jozadak stood up, and his brothers the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brothers, and built the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings on it, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of God.
11But now I will not be to the remnant of this people as in the former days, says the LORD of hosts.
4Arise, for this matter is your responsibility. We also are with you. Be strong and do it.
15And he said to him, Take these vessels, go, carry them into the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be built in its place.
16Then the same Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem: and from that time even until now it has been in building, and yet it is not completed.
7Be strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.
11And behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah, the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king's matters: also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and the LORD shall be with the good.
4Is it time for you, yourselves, to dwell in your paneled houses while this house lies in ruins?
15And now, I pray you, consider from this day onward, before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:
