5 For it is a day of trouble and of trampling down and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls and crying to the mountains.
14 But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour its palaces, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
5 I will be as the dew to Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and strike his roots as Lebanon.
13 For I have bent Judah for myself, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and made you like the sword of a mighty man.
3 The fortress shall also cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria; they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, says the LORD of hosts.
13 And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.
8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth, except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, says the LORD.
