Listen to me, O islands; and hear me, you people from afar; The LORD has called me from the womb; from my mother's body he has made mention of my name.

4Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
5Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.
6Then I said, Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
3Listen to me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been carried by me from birth, who are carried from the womb:
4Even to your old age I am he; and even to gray hairs I will carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
9But You are He who took me out of the womb; You made me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.

4For Jacob My servant's sake, and Israel My chosen, I have even called you by your name: I have given you a title of honor, though you have not known Me.
9You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called you from the chief men thereof, and said to you, You are my servant; I have chosen you, and not cast you away.
24Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb, I am the LORD who makes all things; who stretches forth the heavens alone; who spreads abroad the earth by myself;
4Listen to me, my people; and give ear to me, O my nation: for a law will proceed from me, and I will make my justice a light for the people.
5My righteousness is near; my salvation has gone forth, and my arms will judge the people; the islands will wait upon me, and on my arm they will trust.
14But Zion said, The LORD has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.
15Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you.
16Behold, I have engraved you upon the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.
13For You have formed my inward parts; You have covered me in my mother's womb.
4The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he awakens morning by morning, he awakens my ear to hear as the learned.
5The Lord GOD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, nor turned away back.
6I the LORD have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
