  • 17And they shall eat up your harvest, and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat: they shall eat up your flocks and your herds: they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees: they shall impoverish your fortified cities, wherein you trusted, with the sword.

  • 7And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and into the hands of the children of Ammon.

  • 12Therefore, it shall come to pass, that when the Lord has performed all his work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

  • 14Thus says the LORD against all My evil neighbors who touch the inheritance which I have caused My people Israel to inherit: Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.

  • 3A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; the land is like the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yes, and nothing shall escape them.

  • 15Thus says the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have acted by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a spiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;

  • 12Thus says the LORD: As the shepherd takes out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel be taken out who dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus on a couch.

  • 23They shall hold the bow and spear; they are cruel and have no mercy; their voice roars like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against you, O daughter of Zion.

  • 3The fortress shall also cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria; they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, says the LORD of hosts.

  • 17And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

  • 5Therefore, the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria, and they struck him and carried away a great multitude as captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who struck him with a great slaughter.
