Then the LORD said to me, 'Do not pray for the good of this people.'

6For I will no longer pity the inhabitants of the land, says the LORD. But behold, I will deliver every man into his neighbor's hand, and into the hand of his king. They shall strike the land, and I will not deliver them out of their hand.
11For the LORD spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,
13For the people do not turn to him who strikes them, nor do they seek the LORD of hosts.
14Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
11That the house of Israel may no longer go astray from me, nor be polluted anymore with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, says the Lord GOD.
12The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,
16And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; they will have no one to bury them—neither them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters—for I will pour their wickedness upon them.
17Therefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.
10Go up upon her walls, and destroy; but do not make a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD'S.
11For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says the LORD.
10And it shall come to pass, when you show this people all these words, and they say to you, Why has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?
9Shall I not visit them for these things? says the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
10This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the imagination of their heart, and follow other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, will be like this belt, which is good for nothing.
11For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so have I caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to me, says the LORD; that they might be to me a people, and a name, and a praise, and a glory: but they would not hear.
15Hear, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD has spoken.
13And the LORD says, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, nor walked in it;
14Then the LORD said to me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
2And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
4Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts: Turn now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds. But they did not hear nor listen to Me, says the LORD.
