Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, and I have not sent them, yet they say, 'Sword and famine shall not be in this land'—by sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.

16I will scatter them also among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.
15The sword is outside, and the pestilence and the famine within; he who is in the field shall die by the sword, and he who is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.
21I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

10And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they are consumed from the land that I gave to them and to their fathers.
17Thus says the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will send on them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like rotten figs that cannot be eaten, they are so bad.
15Then said the prophet Jeremiah to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD has not sent you; but you make this people to trust in a lie.
17So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave you; and pestilence and blood shall pass through you; and I will bring the sword upon you. I the LORD have spoken it.
31The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will you do in the end thereof?
3And it shall come to pass that when anyone continues to prophesy, then his father and his mother who gave birth to him shall say to him, You shall not live, for you speak lies in the name of the LORD; and his father and his mother who gave birth to him shall pierce him through when he prophesies.
19Where now are your prophets who prophesied to you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you, nor against this land?
