2I know this is true: but how can a man be righteous before God?
5I would know the words he would answer me, and understand what he would say to me.
6Will he contend with me in his great power? No; but he would strengthen me.
7There the righteous might dispute with him, so I would be delivered forever from my judge.
19Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I keep silent, I shall die.
13Lest you should say, We have found out wisdom: God will thrust him down, not man.

3Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
14What then shall I do when God rises up? When He visits, what shall I answer Him?
8Will you accept his person? will you contend for God?
8Will you also annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?
9Do you have an arm like God, or can you thunder with a voice like him?
7Can you by searching find out God? Can you find out the Almighty to perfection?
17Shall mortal man be more just than God? Shall a man be more pure than his maker?
2I will say to God, Do not condemn me; show me why You contend with me.
23If there is a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man his uprightness:
9If a wise man contends with a foolish man, whether he rages or laughs, there is no rest.

13With Him are wisdom and strength, He has counsel and understanding.
8He is near that justifies me; who will contend with me? Let us stand together: who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.
