5And the men of Ai struck down about thirty-six men: for they chased them from before the gate even to Shebarim, and struck them down on the descent: so the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.
6And Joshua tore his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the evening, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.
7And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, why have you at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of Jordan!
11And it happened, as they fled from Israel and were on the descent to Beth Horon, that the LORD cast great stones from heaven upon them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword.

17And they took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the forest, and piled a very large heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled each to his tent.
7So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they attacked them.
40And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook of Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD; it shall not be uprooted, nor demolished anymore forever.
