7 And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord GOD, why have you at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of Jordan!
22 But Joshua had said to the two men who had spied out the land, Go into the prostitute's house, and bring out from there the woman, and all that she has, as you swore to her.
23 And the young men who were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brothers, and all that she had; and they brought out all her relatives, and left them outside the camp of Israel.
24 And they burned the city with fire, and all that was in it: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of bronze and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD.
27 So it was at the time of the going down of the sun that Joshua commanded, and they took them down from the trees, cast them into the cave where they had hidden, and laid large stones against the mouth of the cave, which remain to this very day.

23 Now therefore put away, said he, the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the LORD God of Israel.
7 So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they attacked them.
