18 They hunted our steps, so that we could not walk in our streets; our end drew near, our days were fulfilled, for our end came.
19 O LORD, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come to you from the ends of the earth and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things in which there is no profit.
16 The crown has fallen from our head; woe to us, for we have sinned!
17 For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.
7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
6 For our fathers have trespassed, and done evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken Him, and turned away from the dwelling place of the LORD, and turned their backs.
