7Since the days of our fathers we have been in a great trespass to this day; and because of our iniquities, we, our kings, and our priests, have been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, to spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
7In you they have treated father and mother with contempt: in your midst they have dealt oppressively with the stranger: in you they have wronged the fatherless and the widow.
18They hunted our steps, so that we could not walk in our streets; our end drew near, our days were fulfilled, for our end came.
19O LORD, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come to you from the ends of the earth and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things in which there is no profit.
16The crown has fallen from our head; woe to us, for we have sinned!
17For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.
7Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
6For our fathers have trespassed, and done evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken Him, and turned away from the dwelling place of the LORD, and turned their backs.
45You have made us like refuse and scorn among the people.

17O LORD, why have you made us to stray from your ways, and hardened our heart from your fear? Return for your servants' sake, the tribes of your inheritance.

13We shall find all kinds of precious goods, we shall fill our houses with plunder;

5They break in pieces your people, O LORD, and afflict your heritage.
