For it is better to be told, "Come up here," than to be put lower in the presence of the prince whom your eyes have seen.

7 Now therefore arise, go out, and speak kindly to your servants; for I swear by the LORD, if you do not go out, not one will stay with you this night; and that will be worse for you than all the evil that has befallen you from your youth until now.
1 When you sit to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before you:
9 He who is despised and has a servant is better than he who honors himself and lacks bread.
