I cried unto You, O LORD: I said, You are my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

6In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: he heard my voice from his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
2For you are the God of my strength; why do you cast me off? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

13I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

13Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer from those who hate me, you who lift me up from the gates of death:
