Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will destroy you, so there shall be no inhabitant.

4For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at noonday, and Ekron shall be uprooted.
4Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and will strike her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
5Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron, for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
6A mixed race shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
4Because of the day that comes to plunder all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyre and Sidon every helper that remains: for the LORD will plunder the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.
