18Everyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and the one on whom it falls will be crushed.”
10Have you not read this scripture:‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

16Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD, says:“Look, I am laying a stone in Zion, an approved stone, set in place as a precious cornerstone for the foundation. The one who maintains his faith will not panic.
32Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but(as if it were possible) by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,
33just as it is written,“Look, I am laying in Zion a stone that will cause people to stumble and a rock that will make them fall, yet the one who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
44The one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and the one on whom it falls will be crushed.”

22in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
10According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master-builder I laid a foundation, but someone else builds on it. And each one must be careful how he builds.
11For no one can lay any foundation other than what is being laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12If anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,
6This brings you great joy, although you may have to suffer for a short time in various trials.
7Such trials show the proven character of your faith, which is much more valuable than gold– gold that is tested by fire, even though it is passing away– and will bring praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
8You have not seen him, but you love him. You do not see him now but you believe in him, and so you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy,
18You know that from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors you were ransomed– not by perishable things like silver or gold,
19but by precious blood like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ.
20He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was manifested in these last times for your sake.
21Through him you now trust in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

17If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are.
4that is, into an inheritance imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. It is reserved in heaven for you,
25For you were going astray like sheep but now you have turned back to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.
36Therefore let all the house of Israel know beyond a doubt that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ.”
1¶ Salutation From Simeon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, have been granted a faith just as precious as ours.
28God chose what is low and despised in the world, what is regarded as nothing, to set aside what is regarded as something,
23this man, who was handed over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you executed by nailing him to a cross at the hands of Gentiles.
11For the stones in the walls will cry out, and the wooden rafters will answer back.
10Therefore, brothers and sisters, make every effort to be sure of your calling and election. For by doing this you will never stumble into sin.
