13For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.
14Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, by putting on the breastplate of righteousness,
15by fitting your feet with the preparation that comes from the good news of peace,
16and in all of this, by taking up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit(which is the word of God).
7Now we pray to God that you may not do anything wrong, not so that we may appear to have passed the test, but so that you may do what is right even if we may appear to have failed the test.
8For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the sake of the truth.
2But we have rejected shameful hidden deeds, not behaving with deceptiveness or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience before God.

8So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me, a prisoner for his sake, but by God’s power accept your share of suffering for the gospel.
6May the praises of God be in their mouths and a two-edged sword in their hands,
9for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth–
1Self-Purification Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that could defile the body and the spirit, and thus accomplish holiness out of reverence for God.
6I pray that the faith you share with us may deepen your understanding of every blessing that belongs to you in Christ.
5Encouragement in Persecution This is evidence of God’s righteous judgment, to make you worthy of the kingdom of God, for which in fact you are suffering.
13And so we too constantly thank God that when you received God’s message that you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human message, but as it truly is, God’s message, which is at work among you who believe.
7for we live by faith, not by sight.
7Obey with enthusiasm, as though serving the Lord and not people,
12Worthy Demetrius Demetrius has been testified to by all, even by the truth itself. We also testify to him, and you know that our testimony is true.

8and a sound message that cannot be criticized, so that any opponent will be at a loss, because he has nothing evil to say about us.
