18David Acquires a Threshing Floor and Constructs an Altar There So Gad went to David that day and told him,“Go up and build an altar for the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”
19So David went up as Gad instructed him to do, according to the LORD’s instructions.
20When Araunah looked out and saw the king and his servants approaching him, he went out and bowed to the king with his face to the ground.

22Araunah told David,“My lord the king may take whatever he wishes and offer it. Look! Here are oxen for burnt offerings, and threshing sledges and harnesses for wood.
21When David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David; he came out from the threshing floor and bowed to David with his face to the ground.
22David said to Ornan,“Sell me the threshing floor so I can build on it an altar for the LORD– I’ll pay top price– so that the plague may be removed from the people.”
23Ornan told David,“You can have it! My master, the king, may do what he wants. Look, I am giving you the oxen for burnt sacrifices, the threshing sledges for wood, and the wheat for an offering. I give it all to you.”
24King David replied to Ornan,“No, I insist on buying it for top price. I will not offer to the LORD what belongs to you or offer a burnt sacrifice that cost me nothing.
25So David bought the place from Ornan for 600 pieces of gold.
26David built there an altar to the LORD and offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings. He called out to the LORD, and the LORD responded by sending fire from the sky and consuming the burnt sacrifice on the altar.
24But the king said to Araunah,“No, I insist on buying it from you! I will not offer to the LORD my God burnt sacrifices that cost me nothing.”So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty pieces of silver.
25Then David built an altar for the LORD there and offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings. And the LORD accepted prayers for the land, and the plague was removed from Israel.
28At that time, when David saw that the LORD responded to him at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, he sacrificed there.
1David then said,“This is the place where the temple of the LORD God will be, along with the altar for burnt sacrifices for Israel.”
20David told the entire assembly:“Praise the LORD your God!” So the entire assembly praised the LORD God of their ancestors; they bowed down and stretched out flat on the ground before the LORD and the king.
18So the LORD’s angel told Gad to instruct David to go up and build an altar for the LORD on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
19So David went up as Gad instructed him to do in the name of the LORD.

11King David dedicated these things to the LORD, along with the dedicated silver and gold that he had taken from all the nations that he had subdued,
22Then this stone that I have set up as a sacred stone will be the house of God, and I will surely give you back a tenth of everything you give me.”
35Then David took from her hand what she had brought to him. He said to her,“Go back to your home in peace. Be assured that I have listened to you and responded favorably.”
28Then Ahimaaz called out and said to the king,“Greetings!” He bowed down before the king with his face toward the ground and said,“May the LORD your God be praised because he has defeated the men who opposed my lord the king!”

26Now, O LORD, you are the true God; you have made this good promise to your servant.
29When the sacrifices were completed, the king and all who were with him bowed down and worshiped.
31Bathsheba bowed down to the king with her face to the floor and said,“May my master, King David, live forever!”
26However, if he should say,‘I do not take pleasure in you,’ then he will deal with me in a way that he considers appropriate.”
16David Praises God King David went in, sat before the LORD, and said:“Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my family, that you should have brought me to this point?
23So now, O LORD, may the promise you made about your servant and his family become a permanent reality! Do as you promised,
18When David finished offering the burnt sacrifices and peace offerings, he pronounced a blessing over the people in the name of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.
12“Go, tell David,‘This is what the LORD has said: I am offering you three forms of judgment. Pick one of them and I will carry it out against you.’”
27Now let this present that your servant has brought to my lord be given to the servants who follow my lord.
2King David rose to his feet and said:“Listen to me, my brothers and my people. I wanted to build a temple where the ark of the LORD’s covenant could be placed as a footstool for our God. I have made the preparations for building it.
8Ask your own servants; they can tell you! May my servants find favor in your sight, for we have come at the time of a holiday. Please provide us– your servants and your son David– with whatever you can spare.”
