22Moses said,‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must obey him in everything he tells you.
23Every person who does not obey that prophet will be destroyed and thus removed from the people.’
24And all the prophets, from Samuel and those who followed him, have spoken about and announced these days.

16He will speak for you to the people, and it will be as if he were your mouth and as if you were his God.

9You will go to the Levitical priests and the judge in office in those days and seek a solution; they will render a verdict.
5if you carefully obey him by keeping all these commandments that I am giving you today.
13When you have seen it, you will be gathered to your ancestors, as Aaron your brother was gathered to his ancestors.

18Thus you must obey the LORD your God, keeping all his commandments that I am giving you today and doing what is right before him.
36The LORD will force you and your king whom you will appoint over you to go away to a people whom you and your ancestors have not known, and you will serve other gods of wood and stone there.
