    1The Covenant Blessings“If you indeed obey the LORD your God and are careful to observe all his commandments I am giving you today, the LORD your God will elevate you above all the nations of the earth.

    2All these blessings will come to you in abundance if you obey the LORD your God:

  • 25This very day I will begin to fill all the people of the earth with dread and to terrify them when they hear about you. They will shiver and shake in anticipation of your approach.”

    18you must not fear them. You must carefully recall what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and all Egypt,

    19the great judgments you saw, the signs and wonders, the strength and power by which he brought you out– thus the LORD your God will do to all the people you fear.

  • 19All who know you among the peoples are shocked at you; you have become terrified and will be no more.’”

  • 9When the Canaanites and all who live in the land hear about this, they will turn against us and destroy the very memory of us from the earth. What will you do to protect your great reputation?”

  • 11Thus all Israel will hear and be afraid; no longer will they continue to do evil like this among you.

  • 13The LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always end up at the top and not at the bottom, if you obey his commandments which I am urging you today to be careful to do.
