11So keep the commandments, statutes, and ordinances that I today am commanding you to do.
12Promises of Good for Covenant Obedience If you obey these ordinances and are careful to do them, the LORD your God will faithfully keep covenant with you as he promised your ancestors.
8Rather it is because of his love for you and his faithfulness to the promise he solemnly vowed to your ancestors that the LORD brought you out with great power, redeeming you from the place of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
1Reiteration of the Call to Obedience You must love the LORD your God and do what he requires; keep his statutes, ordinances, and commandments at all times.
2Bear in mind today that I am not speaking to your children who have not personally experienced the judgments of the LORD your God, which revealed his greatness, strength, and power.
6The LORD passed by before him and proclaimed:“The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness,
7keeping loyal love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. But he by no means leaves the guilty unpunished, responding to the transgression of fathers by dealing with children and children’s children, to the third and fourth generation.”
17But the LORD continually shows loyal love to his faithful followers, and is faithful to their descendants,
18to those who keep his covenant, who are careful to obey his commands.
18You show unfailing love to thousands. But you also punish children for the sins of their parents. You are the great and powerful God whose is name is the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.
10The LORD always proves faithful and reliable to those who follow the demands of his covenant.
39Today realize and carefully consider that the LORD is God in heaven above and on earth below– there is no other!
40Keep his statutes and commandments that I am setting forth today so that it may go well with you and your descendants and that you may enjoy longevity in the land that the LORD your God is about to give you as a permanent possession.”

18‘The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in loyal love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children until the third and fourth generations.’
20You will be loyal to Jacob and extend your loyal love to Abraham, which you promised on oath to our ancestors in ancient times.
17For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awesome God who is unbiased and takes no bribe,
9The Present Covenant Setting“Therefore, keep the terms of this covenant and obey them so that you may be successful in everything you do.
12so that you may enter by oath into the covenant the LORD your God is making with you today.
13Today he will affirm that you are his people and that he is your God, just as he promised you and as he swore by oath to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
5For the LORD is good. His loyal love endures, and he is faithful through all generations.
11Watch yourselves carefully! Love the LORD your God!
23He prayed:“O LORD, God of Israel, there is no god like you in heaven above or on earth below! You maintain covenantal loyalty to your servants who obey you with sincerity.
8So now, in the sight of all Israel, the LORD’s assembly, and in the hearing of our God, I say this: Carefully observe all the commands of the LORD your God, so that you may possess this good land and may leave it as a permanent inheritance for your children after you.
31However, due to your abundant mercy you did not do away with them altogether; you did not abandon them. For you are a merciful and compassionate God.
18Who is a God like you? Who forgives sin and pardons the rebellion of those who remain among his people? Who does not stay angry forever, but delights in showing loyal love?
14and prayed:“O LORD God of Israel, there is no god like you in heaven or on earth! You maintain covenantal loyalty to your servants who obey you with sincerity.
90You demonstrate your faithfulness to all generations. You established the earth and it stood firm.
35You have been taught that the LORD alone is God– there is no other besides him.
17Keep his commandments very carefully, as well as the stipulations and statutes he commanded you to observe.
5Then I said,“Please, O LORD God of heaven, great and awesome God, who keeps his loving covenant with those who love him and obey his commandments,
20Revere the LORD your God, serve him, be loyal to him and take oaths only in his name.
21He is the one you should praise; he is your God, the one who has done these great and awesome things for you that you have seen.
7Then they will place their confidence in God. They will not forget the works of God, and they will obey his commands.
13and to keep the LORD’s commandments and statutes that I am giving you today for your own good?
14The heavens– indeed the highest heavens– belong to the LORD your God, as does the earth and everything in it.
8The LORD is merciful and compassionate; he is patient and demonstrates great loyal love.
20I also call on you to love the LORD your God, to obey him and be loyal to him, for he gives you life and enables you to live continually in the land the LORD promised to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

8When you perceived that his heart was faithful toward you, you established a covenant with him to give his descendants the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, and the Girgashites. You have fulfilled your promise, for you are righteous.
4I prayed to the LORD my God, confessing in this way:“O Lord, great and awesome God who is faithful to his covenant with those who love him and keep his commandments,
