20But he added,“You cannot see my face, for no one can see me and live.”
21The LORD said,“Here is a place by me; you will station yourself on a rock.
22When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and will cover you with my hand while I pass by.

19Please forgive the iniquity of this people according to your great loyal love, just as you have forgiven this people from Egypt even until now.”
20Then the LORD said,“I have forgiven them as you asked.

9and said,“If now I have found favor in your sight, O Lord, let my Lord go among us, for we are a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”
10He said,“See, I am going to make a covenant before all your people. I will do wonders such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation. All the people among whom you live will see the work of the LORD, for it is a fearful thing that I am doing with you.

2God spoke to Moses and said to him,“I am the LORD.
10but I show covenant faithfulness to the thousands who choose me and keep my commandments.
18Who is a God like you? Who forgives sin and pardons the rebellion of those who remain among his people? Who does not stay angry forever, but delights in showing loyal love?
4He does amazing things that will be remembered; the LORD is merciful and compassionate.
5He promotes equity and justice; the LORD’s faithfulness extends throughout the earth.
9So realize that the LORD your God is the true God, the faithful God who keeps covenant faithfully with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,
25The LORD make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
10The LORD always proves faithful and reliable to those who follow the demands of his covenant.
6He added,“I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.
14then they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you, LORD, are among this people, that you, LORD, are seen face to face, that your cloud stands over them, and that you go before them by day in a pillar of cloud and in a pillar of fire by night.
7A Prayer for Divine Intervention I will tell of the faithful acts of the LORD, of the LORD’s praiseworthy deeds. I will tell about all the LORD did for us, the many good things he did for the family of Israel, because of his compassion and great faithfulness.
38Yet he is compassionate. He forgives sin and does not destroy. He often holds back his anger, and does not stir up his fury.
12Moses said to the LORD,“See, you have been saying to me,‘Bring this people up,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. But you said,‘I know you by name, and also you have found favor in my sight.’
13Now if I have found favor in your sight, show me your way, that I may know you, that I may continue to find favor in your sight. And see that this nation is your people.”
16The glory of the LORD resided on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. On the seventh day he called to Moses from within the cloud.
14Equity and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loyal love and faithfulness characterize your rule.
5O LORD, your loyal love reaches to the sky; your faithfulness to the clouds.
31When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight, and when he approached to investigate, there came the voice of the Lord,
32‘I am the God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.’ Moses began to tremble and did not dare to look more closely.
6Then Moses said,“This is what the LORD has commanded you to do so that the glory of the LORD may appear to you.”
17Gideon said to him,“If you really are pleased with me, then give me a sign as proof that it is really you speaking with me.
31However, due to your abundant mercy you did not do away with them altogether; you did not abandon them. For you are a merciful and compassionate God.
5Certainly O Lord, you are kind and forgiving, and show great faithfulness to all who cry out to you.
2“Speak to the Israelites and tell them,‘I am the LORD your God!
10For your loyal love extends beyond the sky, and your faithfulness reaches the clouds.
15God also said to Moses,“You must say this to the Israelites,‘The LORD– the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob– has sent me to you. This is my name forever, and this is my memorial from generation to generation.’
