12Moses said to the LORD,“See, you have been saying to me,‘Bring this people up,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. But you said,‘I know you by name, and also you have found favor in my sight.’

12He replied,“Surely I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve God at this mountain.”
15but with whoever stands with us here today before the LORD our God as well as those not with us here today.
16The Results of Disobedience“(For you know how we lived in the land of Egypt and how we crossed through the nations as we traveled.
3Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go up among you, for you are a stiff-necked people, and I might destroy you on the way.”
21“I will grant this people favor with the Egyptians, so that when you depart you will not leave empty-handed.
5So they said,“If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for our inheritance. Do not have us cross the Jordan River.”
3He said,“My lord, if I have found favor in your sight, do not pass by and leave your servant.
15But if you are going to deal with me like this, then kill me immediately. If I have found favor in your sight then do not let me see my trouble.”
14Let my lord go on ahead of his servant. I will travel more slowly, at the pace of the herds and the children, until I come to my lord at Seir.”
15So Esau said,“Let me leave some of my men with you.”“Why do that?” Jacob replied.“My lord has already been kind enough to me.”
12Then Esau said,“Let’s be on our way! I will go in front of you.”

1The LORD said to Moses,“Go up from here, you and the people whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land I promised on oath to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying,‘I will give it to your descendants.’
27We must go on a three-day journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the LORD our God, just as he is telling us.”
26Our livestock must also go with us! Not a hoof is to be left behind! For we must take these animals to serve the LORD our God. Until we arrive there, we do not know what we must use to serve the LORD.”
17For the LORD our God took us and our fathers out of slavery in the land of Egypt and performed these awesome miracles before our very eyes. He continually protected us as we traveled and when we passed through nations.
18“The elders will listen to you, and then you and the elders of Israel must go to the king of Egypt and tell him,‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.’
17So now, let the power of my Lord be great, just as you have said,
32Also, take your flocks and your herds, just as you have requested, and leave. But bless me also.”
23Then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back, but my face must not be seen.”
28Then Moses said,“This is how you will know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works, for I have not done them of my own will.
9Then the LORD said to Moses:“I have seen this people. Look what a stiff-necked people they are!
11and they said to Moses,“Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the desert? What in the world have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?
17Please let us pass through your country. We will not pass through the fields or through the vineyards, nor will we drink water from any well. We will go by the King’s Highway; we will not turn to the right or the left until we have passed through your region.’”
16However, if the servant says to you,“I do not want to leave you,” because he loves you and your household, since he is well off with you,
3And they said,“The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Let us go a three-day journey into the wilderness so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God, so that he does not strike us with plague or the sword.”
10“No, please take them,” Jacob said.“If I have found favor in your sight, accept my gift from my hand. Now that I have seen your face and you have accepted me, it is as if I have seen the face of God.
5The LORD said to Moses,“Go over before the people; take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand your staff with which you struck the Nile and go.
11And Moses said to the LORD,“Why have you afflicted your servant? Why have I not found favor in your sight, that you lay the burden of this entire people on me?
16Then the LORD said to Moses,“You are about to die, and then these people will begin to prostitute themselves with the foreign gods of the land into which they are going. They will reject me and break my covenant that I have made with them.
