I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be silent and unable to reprove them, for they are a rebellious house.

  • 27“Therefore, speak to the house of Israel, son of man, and tell them,‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In this way too your fathers blasphemed me when they were unfaithful to me.

  • 13But I am like a deaf man– I hear nothing; I am like a mute who cannot speak.

  • 21It is written in the law:“By people with strange tongues and by the lips of strangers I will speak to this people, yet not even in this way will they listen to me,” says the Lord.

  • 28Because you rage against me, and the uproar you create has reached my ears; I will put my hook in your nose, and my bridle between your lips, and I will lead you back the way you came.”
