2 So the prophet Jeremiah spoke to all the people of Judah and to all the people who were living in Jerusalem.
3 “For the last twenty-three years, from the thirteenth year that Josiah son of Amon was ruling in Judah until now, the LORD’s messages have come to me and I have told them to you over and over again. But you would not listen.
4 Over and over again the LORD has sent his servants the prophets to you. But you have not listened or paid attention.
5 He said through them,‘Each of you must turn from your wicked ways and stop doing the evil things you are doing. If you do, I will allow you to continue to live here in the land that I gave to you and your ancestors as a lasting possession.

7 For I solemnly warned your ancestors to obey me. I warned them again and again, ever since I delivered them out of Egypt until this very day.
8 But they did not listen to me or pay any attention to me! Each one of them followed the stubborn inclinations of his own wicked heart. So I brought on them all the punishments threatened in the covenant because they did not carry out its terms as I commanded them to do.’”
19 For they have not paid attention to what I said to them through my servants the prophets whom I sent to them over and over again,’ says the LORD.‘And you exiles have not paid any attention to them either,’ says the LORD.
3 This happened because of the wickedness the people living there did. They made me angry by worshiping and offering sacrifice to other gods whom neither they nor you nor your ancestors previously knew.
4 I sent my servants the prophets to you people over and over again warning you not to do this disgusting thing I hate.
26 But your ancestors did not listen to me nor pay attention to me. They became obstinate and were more wicked than even their own forefathers.’”
27 Then the LORD said to me,“When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you. When you call out to them, they will not respond to you.
13 The LORD solemnly warned Israel and Judah through all his prophets and all the seers,“Turn back from your evil ways; obey my commandments and rules that are recorded in the law. I ordered your ancestors to keep this law and sent my servants the prophets to remind you of its demands.”

10 So the LORD announced through his servants the prophets:
15 For I, the LORD, affirm that I did not send them. They are prophesying lies to you in my name. If you listen to them, I will drive you and the prophets who are prophesying lies out of the land and you will all die in exile.”
21 I did not send those prophets. Yet they were in a hurry to give their message. I did not tell them anything. Yet they prophesied anyway.
15 because they have done evil in my sight and have angered me from the time their ancestors left Egypt right up to this very day!’”
24 And all the prophets, from Samuel and those who followed him, have spoken about and announced these days.
30 You prolonged your kindness with them for many years, and you solemnly admonished them by your Spirit through your prophets. Still they paid no attention, so you delivered them into the hands of the neighboring peoples.

32 I am determined to do so because the people of Israel and Judah have made me angry with all their wickedness– they, their kings, their officials, their priests, their prophets, and especially the people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem have done this wickedness.
33 They have turned away from me instead of turning to me. I tried over and over again to instruct them, but they did not listen and respond to correction.
52 Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute? They killed those who foretold long ago the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become!
11 I made some of your sons prophets and some of your young men Nazirites. Is this not true, you Israelites?” The LORD is speaking!

26 “Nonetheless they grew disobedient and rebelled against you; they disregarded your law. They killed your prophets who had solemnly admonished them in order to cause them to return to you. They committed atrocious blasphemies.
4 Those are the terms that I charged your ancestors to keep when I brought them out of Egypt, that place which was like an iron-smelting furnace. I said at that time,“Obey me and carry out the terms of the covenant exactly as I commanded you. If you do, you will be my people and I will be your God.
6 We have not paid attention to your servants the prophets, who spoke by your authority to our kings, our leaders, and our ancestors, and to all the inhabitants of the land as well.
24 You have been rebelling against him from the very first day I knew you!
10 To this day your people have shown no contrition! They have not revered me nor followed the laws and statutes I commanded you and your ancestors.’
11 Then tell them that the LORD says,‘It is because your ancestors rejected me and paid allegiance to other gods. They have served them and worshiped them. But they have rejected me and not obeyed my law.
12 And you have acted even more wickedly than your ancestors! Each one of you has followed the stubborn inclinations of your own wicked heart and not obeyed me.
5 Therefore, I will certainly cut you into pieces at the hands of the prophets; I will certainly kill you in fulfillment of my oracles of judgment; for my judgment will come forth like the light of the dawn.
7 But listen to what I say to you and to all these people.
14 Then the LORD said to me,“Those prophets are prophesying lies while claiming my authority! I did not send them. I did not commission them. I did not speak to them. They are prophesying to these people false visions, worthless predictions, and the delusions of their own mind.
9 Then Jeremiah said to them,“You sent me to the LORD God of Israel to make your request known to him. Here is what he says to you:
12 Then Jeremiah made his defense before all the officials and all the people.“The LORD sent me to prophesy everything you have heard me say against this temple and against this city.
