20A Divine Decision The LORD was furious with Israel. He said,“This nation has violated the terms of the covenant I made with their ancestors by disobeying me.
22No longer may the Israelites approach the tent of meeting, or else they will bear their sin and die.
6So now, please come and curse this nation for me, for they are too powerful for me. Perhaps I will prevail so that we may conquer them and drive them out of the land. For I know that whoever you bless is blessed, and whoever you curse is cursed.”
20So the LORD rejected all of Israel’s descendants; he humiliated them and handed them over to robbers, until he had thrown them from his presence.
11Thus all Israel will hear and be afraid; no longer will they continue to do evil like this among you.
16You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the field.
