13Now Jeroboam had sent some men to ambush the Judahite army from behind. The main army was in front of the Judahite army; the ambushers were behind it.

8The LORD is indeed going before you– he will be with you; he will not fail you or abandon you. Do not be afraid or discouraged!”
15But if you don’t obey the LORD and rebel against what the LORD says, the hand of the LORD will be against both you and your king.
