3 “Listen, Israel! Today you are moving forward to do battle with your enemies. Do not be fainthearted. Do not fear and tremble or be terrified because of them,

7 Then Moses called out to Joshua in the presence of all Israel,“Be strong and courageous, for you will accompany these people to the land that the LORD promised to give their ancestors, and you will enable them to inherit it.
8 The LORD is indeed going before you– he will be with you; he will not fail you or abandon you. Do not be afraid or discouraged!”
31 and in the wilderness, where you saw him carrying you along like a man carries his son. This he did everywhere you went until you came to this very place.”
9 “The LORD drove out from before you great and mighty nations; no one has been able to resist you to this very day.

1 Laws Concerning War with Distant Enemies When you go to war against your enemies and see chariotry and troops who outnumber you, do not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, is with you.

3 Understand today that the LORD your God who goes before you is a devouring fire; he will defeat and subdue them before you. You will dispossess and destroy them quickly just as he has told you.
17 For the LORD our God took us and our fathers out of slavery in the land of Egypt and performed these awesome miracles before our very eyes. He continually protected us as we traveled and when we passed through nations.
13 Moses said to the LORD,“When the Egyptians hear it– for you brought up this people by your power from among them–
14 then they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you, LORD, are among this people, that you, LORD, are seen face to face, that your cloud stands over them, and that you go before them by day in a pillar of cloud and in a pillar of fire by night.
23 For my angel will go before you and bring you to the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, and I will destroy them completely.
25 He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving, and the Egyptians said,“Let’s flee from Israel, for the LORD fights for them against Egypt!”
39 Instead you must worship the LORD your God; then he will rescue you from the power of all your enemies.”
21 Look, he has placed the land in front of you! Go up, take possession of it, just as the LORD, the God of your ancestors, said to do. Do not be afraid or discouraged!”
12 Now look, God is with us as our leader. His priests are ready to blow the trumpets to signal the attack against you. You Israelites, don’t fight against the LORD God of your ancestors, for you will not win!”
27 but your servants will cross over, every man armed for war, to do battle in the LORD’s presence, just as my lord says.”
23 For the LORD your God dried up the water of the Jordan before you while you crossed over. It was just like when the LORD your God dried up the Red Sea before us while we crossed it.
36 Instead you must worship the LORD, who brought you up from the land of Egypt by his great power and military ability; bow down to him and offer sacrifices to him.
38 to dispossess nations greater and stronger than you and brought you here this day to give you their land as your property.
5 No one will be able to resist you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not abandon you or leave you alone.
20 You, however, the LORD has selected and brought from Egypt, that iron-smelting furnace, to be his special people as you are today.
10 For we heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you left Egypt and how you annihilated the two Amorite kings, Sihon and Og, on the other side of the Jordan.
25 Nobody will be able to resist you; the LORD your God will spread the fear and terror of you over the whole land on which you walk, just as he promised you.
42 But the LORD told me:“Tell them this:‘Do not go up and fight, because I will not be with you and you will be defeated by your enemies.’”
3 They did not see the awesome deeds he performed in the midst of Egypt against Pharaoh king of Egypt and his whole land,
4 or what he did to the army of Egypt, including their horses and chariots, when he made the waters of the Red Sea overwhelm them while they were pursuing you and he annihilated them.
18 how they met you along the way and cut off all your stragglers in the rear of the march when you were exhausted and tired; they were unafraid of God.
9 I repeat, be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic, for I, the LORD your God, am with you in all you do.”
14 For the LORD your God walks about in the middle of your camp to deliver you and defeat your enemies for you. Therefore your camp should be holy, so that he does not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you.
33 the one who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD.
