30Now the king of Syria had ordered his chariot commanders,“Do not fight common soldiers or high ranking officers; fight only the king of Israel!”
31When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they said,“He must be the king of Israel!” So they turned and attacked him, but Jehoshaphat cried out. The LORD helped him; God lured them away from him.
29All the kingdoms of the surrounding lands were afraid of God when they heard how the LORD had fought against Israel’s enemies.
12Our God, will you not judge them? For we are powerless against this huge army that attacks us! We don’t know what we should do; we look to you for help.”
13All the men of Judah were standing before the LORD, along with their infants, wives, and children.
14Then in the midst of the assembly, the LORD’s Spirit came upon Jachaziel son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph.
12Now look, God is with us as our leader. His priests are ready to blow the trumpets to signal the attack against you. You Israelites, don’t fight against the LORD God of your ancestors, for you will not win!”
32When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they said,“He must be the king of Israel.” So they turned and attacked him, but Jehoshaphat cried out.

25Then Joshua said to them,“Don’t be afraid and don’t panic! Be strong and brave, for the LORD will do the same thing to all your enemies you fight.”
6He prayed:“O LORD God of our ancestors, you are the God who lives in heaven and rules over all the kingdoms of the nations. You possess strength and power; no one can stand against you.
47and all this assembly will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves! For the battle is the LORD’s, and he will deliver you into our hand.”
5But then Jehoshaphat said to Israel’s king,“Please seek a message from the LORD this very day.”
29So I responded to you,“Do not be terrified of them!
4Then Jehoshaphat said further to the king of Israel,“First, please seek an oracle from the LORD.”
13The Lord Delivers Israel Now a prophet visited King Ahab of Israel and said,“This is what the LORD has said,‘Do you see this huge army? Look, I am going to hand it over to you this very day. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”
42But the LORD told me:“Tell them this:‘Do not go up and fight, because I will not be with you and you will be defeated by your enemies.’”
11Asa prayed to the LORD his God:“O LORD, there is no one but you who can help the weak when they are vastly outnumbered. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you and have marched on your behalf against this huge army. O LORD, you are our God; don’t let men prevail against you!”
27Then all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned joyfully to Jerusalem with Jehoshaphat leading them; the LORD had given them reason to rejoice over their enemies.
3You saw everything the LORD your God did to all these nations on your behalf, for the LORD your God fights for you.
8The LORD told Joshua,“Don’t be afraid of them, for I am handing them over to you. Not one of them can resist you.”
8Even if you go and fight bravely in battle, God will defeat you before the enemy. God is capable of helping or defeating.”
14The men of Judah turned around and realized they were being attacked from the front and the rear. So they cried out for help to the LORD. The priests blew their trumpets,
10One of you makes a thousand run away, for the LORD your God fights for you as he promised you he would.
9I repeat, be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic, for I, the LORD your God, am with you in all you do.”
28The prophet visited the king of Israel and said,“This is what the LORD has said:‘Because the Syrians said,“The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will deliver this entire huge army into to your control. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
19They will attack you but they will not be able to overcome you, for I will be with you to rescue you,” says the LORD.
7“Be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic because of the king of Assyria and this huge army that is with him! We have with us one who is stronger than those who are with him.
8He has with him mere human strength, but the LORD our God is with us to help us and fight our battles!” The army was encouraged by the words of King Hezekiah of Judah.
4There is a loud noise on the mountains– it sounds like a large army! There is great commotion among the kingdoms– nations are being assembled! The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is mustering forces for battle.
6Be strong and courageous! Do not fear or tremble before them, for the LORD your God is the one who is going with you. He will not fail you or abandon you!”
14The LORD will fight for you, and you can be still.”
12Jehoshaphat said,“Yes, he receives the LORD’s messages.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to visit him.
13Be strong! Let’s fight bravely for the sake of our people and the cities of our God! The LORD will do what he decides is best!”
21Look, he has placed the land in front of you! Go up, take possession of it, just as the LORD, the God of your ancestors, said to do. Do not be afraid or discouraged!”
