3 As for the LORD your God, he is about to cross over before you; he will destroy these nations before you and you will dispossess them. As for Joshua, he is about to cross before you just as the LORD has said.
21 But the LORD became angry with me because of you and vowed that I would never cross the Jordan nor enter the good land that he is about to give you.
22 So I must die here in this land; I will not cross the Jordan. But you are going over and will possess that good land.

6 The End of an Era When Joshua dismissed the people, the Israelites went to their allotted portions of territory, intending to take possession of the land.
