11I ask then, they did not stumble into an irrevocable fall, did they? Absolutely not! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make Israel jealous.
12Now if their transgression means riches for the world and their defeat means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full restoration bring?

10“‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because it was tall in stature, and its top reached into the clouds, and it was proud of its height,
21For now you have become like these streams that are no help; you see a terror, and are afraid.
6If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown out like a branch, and dries up; and such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and are burned up.
12See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has an evil, unbelieving heart that forsakes the living God.
19So we see that they could not enter because of unbelief.
