6even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
7for this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.
6But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer.
7Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so also are you of the comfort.

8Even so, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you, not the Gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because you had become very dear to us.
9For you remember, brothers, our labor and travail; for working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached to you the Gospel of God.
10You are witnesses with God, how holy, righteously, and blamelessly we behaved ourselves toward you who believe.
11As you know how we exhorted, comforted, and implored every one of you, as a father does his own children,

6As therefore you received Christ Jesus, the Lord, walk in him,
14as also you acknowledged us in part, that we are your boasting, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.
4having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have toward all the saints,
19For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Isn't it even you, before our Lord Jesus{TR adds "Christ"} at his coming?
20For you are our glory and our joy.
17Brothers, be imitators together of me, and note those who walk this way, even as you have us for an example.

11Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.
13But because you are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also you may rejoice with exceeding joy.
28and in nothing frightened by the adversaries, which is for them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that from God.
15For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints,
6that the fellowship of your faith may become effective, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus.
7For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
18In the same way, you also rejoice, and rejoice with me.
