So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he did not keep; and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it;

And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground. 15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why have you disturbed me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am in great distress; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams.
