እንተዛ ካህኑ ዳቦ ቅዱስ ሃበዎ። እሞ ኣብ ዚ ካልእ ዳቦ የብሉን እንጂ ዳቦ ማቕረብ ብቻ ነበረ፣ እቲ ካብ በፊት እግዚኣብሔር ዝተወሰደ፤ እቲ ዝተወሰደ መዓልቲ ዳቦ ሓዱሽ ሙቅ ክተኻፈል ነይሩ።

    2ዳዊት ንኣሂመሌክ ካህን እንታይ በለ፦ ንጉሱ ስራሕ ኣክልኒ ትእዛዝ ኣተወኒ፣ እሞ ንሓደ ሰብ እንኳ ስለ እቲ ስራሕ ዝስዕብካ ክንደይ ዘሎ ኣይፈልጥን ኢሉ ኣለኒ፤ ዝሕነጽካን ዝዘዝክካን እቲ ኩሉ ነገር ምስርሕ። ኣገልጋሎተይ ኣብ ዝበለ ቦታታት ኣመይጥኣዮም።

    3እሞ ኣብ እጅኻ ዘለዎ ምንታይ እዩ? ሓሙሽተ ኩርባት ዳቦ ሃበኒ፣ ወይ እቲ ብሕጂ ዘለዎ እቲ ተረኺቡ ሃበኒ።

    4ካህኑ ንዳዊት መለሰ እንታይ ኢሉ፦ ልማዳዊ ዳቦ ኣብ እጄ የብለይን፣ ግን ዳቦ ቅዱስ ኣሎ፤ ልክዕ ዝኾነ እንተ ወጣቕ ሰባት ካብ ኣንስትዮ ተኣጽየዩ እንከኣ።

    5ዳዊት መለሰ እንታይ ኢሉ፦ ብሓቂ ካብ ወጣእኩ ጀሚሩ እዚኣ ሶስተ መዓልታት ኣንስትዮ ካብና ተርሕቡ እዮም። ኣካላቶም ወጣቕ ሰባት ቅዱሳት እዮም፤ ዳቦኡ ደጊም ንልማድ እንተ ዚመስል እዩ እንኳ፣ እዚ መዓልቲ ኣብ መዕቀብ ዝተቀደሰ እሞ።

    7በዚ መዓልቲ ኣብ እዚ ቦታ ካብ ኣገልጋሎት ሳኦል ሰብ ሓደ ነበረ፣ በፊት እግዚኣብሔር ዝተያዘ። ስሙ ዶኤግ ነበረ፣ ኤዶማዊ፣ ከብት ሳኦል ቀዳማይ መራሒ ነበረ።

    8ዳዊት ንኣሂመሌክ እንታይ በለ፦ ኣብ እጅኻ ማእድ ወይ ሰይፍ የለ ዶ? ሰይፍናን መሳርሕታታናን ኣይኣመጽናን እዮም፣ እቲ ስራሕ ንጉስ ፈጥነት ይድልድል ነይሩ ስለዚ።

    9ካህኑ ኣለዎ፦ ሰይፍ ጎልያት እቲ ፍልስጥማዊ እቲ ኣብ ሸለቆ ኤላ ዝገድልካዮ እዚኣ ኣሎ፤ ኣብ ኤፎድ ድሕሪትኡ ብቲ ልብስ ተሸፊነ ኣሎ። እዚ እኽልካ እንተ ትወስደዶ ወስደዶ፤ ካልእ እዚ ጨረታ የለን። ዳዊት ኣለዎ፦ ከምኡ ዝመሳሰል የለን፤ ሃበኒ።
