«እንዲሕ ዛሬ ሕይወትኻ ኣብ ዓይነይ ዋጋ ክብር ክትርከብ ከመ እዩ፣ እንተኾነ እኔ’የ ሕይወት ኣብ ዓይነ እግዚኣብሔር እንዲሁ ዋጋ ትርከብ፣ እርሱ ካብ ኩሉ መከራ ይፈትሕኒ።»

    17ሳውል ድምጺ ዳዊት ኣረፈሰ እና ኣለ፡ «ድምጺኻ ይኸውን ወዲይ ዳዊት?» ዳዊት መለሰ ኣለ፡ «እወ፣ ድምጺ የኔ እዩ ጌታይ ንጉሥ።»

    18ኣሎ ድማ፡ «ስለ እንታይ ጌታይ ንባሪያኡ እንዲሕ ይከተሉ ኣሎ? እንታይ ገበርኩ? ወይ ክፉ ነገር ኣብ እጄ ኣለ?»

    19«እስካ ኣብዚ፣ ጌታይ ንጉሥ፣ ቃለ ባሪያኻ ይስማዕ። እንተ እግዚኣብሔር ኣነቃቕካኒ፣ ቍርባን ይቕበል፤ እንተ ግን ሰባት እዮም፣ በፊት እግዚኣብሔር ይረጉሙ፤ ዛሬ ካብ ርስቲ እግዚኣብሔር ምንባር ኣወጡኒ፣ “ሂድ ካልእ ኣምላኽቲ ኣገልግል” እበልዎ።»

    20«እቲ ደምየ በፊት እግዚኣብሔር ኣብ ምድር ኣይፈስስ። ምኽንያቱ ንጉስ እስራኤል ወጺኡ እዩ ንሽሩይ ክፈልጥ፣ ከም ዝሓንይ ወፍ ፓርትሪጅ ኣብ ተራራት ዝዳላ ሰብ እንዳ።»

    21እዚ ሳውል ኣለ፡ «ተጻጸትኩ፤ ንምምለስ ንበለ ወዲይ ዳዊት፤ ዛሬ ነፍሰይ ኣብ ዓይናኻ ዋጋ ኣለዋ ስለዚ ከኣ ክጎዱካ ኣይገብር ዘለኒን። ርእ ዓመቺ ሆንኩን ብጣዕሚ ተሳሕተኩ።»

    22ዳዊት መለሰ ኣለ፡ «ርእ ኢላ ንጉስ! ከሓደ ካልእ ወጣት ይመጽእ ክወስድዎ።»

    23«እግዚኣብሔር ለእያ ሰብ ብርድኡን ታማንነቱን ይከፍል፤ እግዚኣብሔር ዛሬ ኣንተ ኣብ እጄ ሃበካ፣ ግን እጄ ናብ ቀቢ እግዚኣብሔር ኣልዘዋዕን።»
