ጴጥሮስ እዚ ኣይቶ ሕዝቢን እንታይ በለ፦ ‘ሰባት እስራኤል ሆይ፣ እዚ ስለምንታይ ትደንቁ? ወይ ከም ብናፍቆታና ወይ ብቅድስናና እዚ ሰብ ክሕዋን ክንገብር እንተ ኾይና ስለምንታይ ብብልጥ ተመልከቱና?’

    2እንዳበለ ካብ ማኅፀን እናቱ ጀሚሩ እግራቱ ዝጐድአ ሰብ ብሰባት ይሸከሙዎ ነበረ፤ እዚ ዕለት ዕለት ኣብ ቤተ መቅደስ በር ዝብሉ 'ጽቡቕ' ይተቐመጥ ነበረ፣ ናብ ቤተ መቅደስ ዝእቱ ካብ ዝኣቱ ሰባት ልግሲ ክለመልገስ።

    3እዚ ጴጥሮስን ዮሐንስን ናብ ቤተ መቅደስ ክግበሩ እዮም ኣይቶ ልግሲ ለመለገሰሎም።

    4ጴጥሮስ ምስ ዮሐንስ ዓይናቶም ብምሰኻኽ በለዎ፦ ‘ኣብና ተመልከት።’

    5እሱ በዓይኖም ተመሊሰ፣ ካብኦም ነገር ክትብል ይጸበር ነበረ።

    6ጴጥሮስ በለ፦ ‘ብር ወይ ወርቂ ኣየለኒን፤ ግን ዘሎኒ ዝኾነ እሃብካ። በስም ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ናዝሬታዊ ተነስካ ሂወ።’

    7እንዚ ብየማናይ እጅ ኣንስዎ ኣነስኦ፤ ብድንገት እግራቱን ጣርኡን ኃይል ተሰገበሎም።

    8ብቅል ቆሞ ጀመረ ምሕዋን፤ ምስኦሞም ናብ ቤተ መቅደስ እተኣተወ፣ ይሄድን ይዝልልን ኣምላኽን ይመስግን ነበረ።

    9ሕዝቢ ኩሉ ንሱ ይሄድን ኣምላኽ ይመስግንን ርእዮ ነበሩ።

    10ንሱ እዩ እቲ ኣብ ቤተ መቅደስ በር ዝብሉ 'ጽቡቕ' ልግሲ ክለመልገስ ዝተቀመጠ ተረዱ፤ ብዝከሰተሉ ነገር ድንግሊን ተደንቂነትን ተሞሉ።

    11እቲ ዕግር ዝጐድአ ነበረ ሰብ ተፈውሶ ጴጥሮስን ዮሐንስን ይይዝ እዩ ነበር፤ ሕዝቢ ኩሉ ኣብ ዝብሉ 'መንበር ሰሎሞን' ሓባር ሓባር ናባቶም ሮጽዮም መጹ እዮም ይደንግጡ።
