እቲ መዓልቲ እዚ ንጉስ ኣሐስዌሮስ ገዛ ሓማን ጠላይ ይሁዳውያን ንኣስተር ንግስቲ ሃበ። ሞርድካይ ድማ ብፊት ንንጉስ ወጻኢ፤ ኣስተር እሱ ዘመድኣ እዩ እንዳለ ነገረቶ እምበር።

    7ንጉስ ካብ ፍርሒ ወይን ብመቕጻእ ተነሲኡ ኣብ ጀርዲን ቤት መንግሥቲ ወዲ። ሓማን ደጊሙ ሕይወቱ ንንግስቲ ኣስቴር ንምለመን ቆመ፣ ምክንያቱ ናብ ንሱ ካብ ንጉስ ክፉ ነገር ብዕጽፉ ተወሰነ እዩ እንዳየ ስለ ነበረ።

    8ንጉስ ካብ ጀርዲን ቤት መንግሥቲ መለሰ ኣብ ስፍራ ፍርሒ ወይን፤ ሓማን ኣብ ኣልጋ ዘላት ኣስቴር ተወድቖ ነበረ። ንጉስ ኣለ፡ ኣብ ቤቴ ብዓይነይ ንግስቲ ክዝልዎ ዶ ይፈልጥ? ቃል ካብ ኣፉ ንጉስ እንዳወጸ ፈጺሙ ፊቱ ሓማን ኣሸፈኑ።
